I'm an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership Development and Professional Studies in the Global Leadership Ph.D. program at Troy University in Alabama. Before entering academia, I served 27 years in the U.S. Army, holding a range of leadership positions and gaining operational experience across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Balkans. I concluded my military career as an instructor in Civil-Military Operations, teaching to U.S. and Latin American military personnel, law enforcement officers, and civil servants in Spanish at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) at Fort Benning, Georgia.
As part of my transition from military service, I completed a Department of Defense–sponsored internship at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). During this time, I contributed to the development and revision of courseware in the areas of network analysis, social sciences, and governance for a U.S. Army requested Irregular Warfare curriculum.
I continue to support military academia as a committee member for thesis candidates in the Master of Military Art and Science (MMAS) program at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College satellite campus, taught at WHINSEC.
